From this viewpoint at the 9th-century chateau, a short hike above the town of Sainte Agnes, in one gaze you are treated to a breath-taking vista of Italy and France. To the far right of the picture is the resort of Cap Martin, towards the centre is Menton and Italy is to the left.

In the foreground you can see the narrow ribbon of the non-surface A8 autoroute far below, either crossing valleys on tall viaducts or cutting through the mountains.
