The Duomo, Pisa |
|||
|
Tue, 2nd August 2005 The Duomo is the dominent heart of the Campo dei Miracoli. The leaning tower is actually just a bell tower for this cathedral - however having its unique lean, it has taken most of spotlight over the years. Construction of the Duomo began over a centuary before work started on the tower. Galileo is believed to have formulated his theory about the movement of a pendulum by watching the swinging of the huge incense lamp hanging from the ceiling of the nave. The most dramatic of the shots touched up in photoshop. Making the same adjustments as on the previous shots but increasing the contrast of the sky whilst going completely over the top with the saturation of the colors on the cathedral gives this photo an almost cartoony feel to it. << Previous Shot Info Next >> |
